ABOUT US

Introduction to the Premier Youth Basketball League

The Premier Youth Basketball League showcases the top elite basketball programs in the state of Wisconsin. Designed for students in grades 4 through 8, this league offers a platform for young athletes to hone their skills via competing against many of the elite players in the state. The Premier league operates during the winter season and teams are organized as part of a school feeder system. Teams compete in 5 Saturday league sessions and the end of the year tournament.

This league is meant to be challenging!  As the saying goes- “iron sharpens iron”Coaches, players, and parents will all be “tested”.  As this plays out and teams that are used to winning are put under stress, we hope that all of these groups work hard to stay in their respective roles. Event days should be glorious days for kids, as they get to play the game that we all love.  We expect everyone to do their best to enjoy each day and be respectful to everyone you encounter. Coaches are ultimately responsible for the group that follows the team.

Due to the nature of competing against teams from across the state- you certainly can’t expect them to all come to your doorstep!  Premier teams will have to travel a bit further than they are used to.  As well, teams can’t simply call their schedule. Some teams have to start early, and some must play late!  There are many other scheduling factors to consider as well (parity issues, new opponents, available courts, special circumstances, etc) -please realize that you may get the perfect schedule on occasion, but don’t expect it!
